課程概述 |
Course Description:
In this course, students will learn about contemporary popular culture in Germany. We will study different cultural expressions such as literature, music, film, and digital media.
Students will work on a collaborative blog that documents their written work over the course of the semester. We will also review important grammatical concepts and learn about writing and editing strategies.
The course will be taught in German.

課程目標 |
Course Objectives:
The objective of this class is to learn how to observe, analyze, and critique contemporary cultural phenomena in the German language. For this purpose, students will learn how to lead discussions in class and work on their reading and writing skills.
We will also compare contemporary Taiwanese and German culture. Students are expected to do individual research on various topics of interest and give a presentation.

課程要求 |
Requirements:
Students should have successfully completed at least two years of German courses (German I and II). Please contact me, if you are not sure whether this is the right language level for you.
Students are required to attend regularly and punctually. Attendance will be part of your grades. Absences due to a documented illness or university activity will be excused.
If you aim for an ‘A’, you will have to actively participate in all classroom activities, do your homework, and speak German as much as possible. English should be a last resort.
